In the central regions, the start of the season was recorded in March, and in the southern regions, allergen activity appeared even earlier. The presence of alder and hazel pollen is already noted in the air, followed by the peak of birch flowering.

For residents of Moscow, the Moscow region and the Volga region, spring remains the most difficult period due to the high concentration of birch trees, dense buildings and air pollution. In Siberia and the Urals, flowering occurs sharply and intensively in May and June. In the Northwest, high humidity reduces pollen concentrations somewhat, but spikes are also possible in dry weather.

Southern regions, such as Krasnodar Krai and Stavropol, face the main threat in summer and early autumn. From July to September, ragweed, one of the most powerful natural allergens, peaks there. The pollen of this plant is capable of causing a strong reaction even at a minimum concentration in the air.

To combat the symptoms, Alexander Chikin recommended that allergy sufferers prepare for the season in advance. According to him, it is necessary to start preventive intake of antihistamines in advance, since many of them have a cumulative effect. February–March is considered the optimal time for the southern regions, mid—March for the central part of Russia, and April for the northern territories and Siberia.
