The jewelry was in two zip-up bags and was wrapped in newspaper. In total, 15 stones were seized — four diamonds and 11 sapphires. At the same time, the sender indicated the cost of the goods in 300 Indian rupees.
The examination also confirmed that the seized gems are natural diamonds and sapphires. According to current legislation, the shipment of such goods in international mail is prohibited.
