US President Donald Trump has called Chinese President Xi Jinping his friend. The American leader said this on May 15 following a visit to China.

"This is a man whom I respect very much, he really became a friend," Trump said.

He stressed that he has known Xi Jinping for almost 12 years, and considers it a long time.

The American president also summarized his visit, calling it "incredible."
