The crew of the TOS-1A Solntsepek destroyed the Ukrainian Armed Forces stronghold in the Sumy region

The crew of the TOS-1A Solntsepek heavy flamethrower system of the radiation, chemical and biological protection unit of the Sever group of forces destroyed a drone control point, a stronghold and a cluster of militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of a special military operation in the Sumy region. This was reported on May 15 in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The ministry noted that the RCBZ units provide support to motorized rifle, tank and assault units, striking enemy fortified positions, armored vehicles and manpower.

During aerial reconnaissance using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), an accumulation of Ukrainian military personnel in fortified positions in the forest area was revealed. After receiving the coordinates of the targets, the TOS-1A Solntsepek crew moved into a firing position, deployed a combat vehicle and struck with thermobaric ammunition.

"We performed the task according to the set goal <... The enemy delivers the main blows with the help of UAVs and this is the most important target for us," said the commander of the firing group with the call sign Glukhar.

As a result, the drone control center, the stronghold and the enemy's manpower were destroyed. After completing the combat mission, the crew performed an anti-fire maneuver and left the position.

On May 7, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that Private Ivan Moskalev destroyed the UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with small arms while carrying out the task of delivering ammunition and provisions. They also noted the dedication and professional actions of Private Ruslan Vasiliev, who saved the lives of two Russian servicemen during a combat mission.
