Sergeant Karavaev evacuated the wounded soldiers and shot down an enemy drone.
Squad commander Sergeant Maxim Karavaev evacuated wounded Russian servicemen in the rear area, despite attacks by FPV drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation on Friday, May 15.
The evacuation team quickly reached the wounded, and they received first aid on the spot. As the soldiers moved back, taking out the injured, the group was suddenly attacked by an enemy attack drone. Karavaev decided to send the group further and divert the threat to himself. With an accurate shot, he shot down the drone, securing his comrades.
The Defense Ministry also noted the determination of the squad commander, Sergeant Denis Ziborev, who participated in the storming of the enemy stronghold.
Having stealthily approached the enemy position, the group under the command of Ziborev suddenly broke into the support area. The sergeant was one of the first to get inside. The AFU position was captured as soon as possible. Ziborev organized the defense, firing points were placed around the perimeter. When the enemy attempted to make a counterattack, he encountered resistance and was forced to retreat.
On May 14, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation told how Guard private Damir Makhmudov, as a rifleman of a motorized rifle unit, was conducting reconnaissance when he came under mortar fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
