Residents of Yakutsk were asked to move livestock to safe places before the flood

The Yakutsk administration called on the heads of peasant farms, private subsidiary farms and agricultural enterprises to drive the cattle to temporary detention facilities. Such measures are being taken in connection with the threat of flooding of lowlands during the spring flood.

According to IA YakutiaMedia, in Tulagino-Kildyamsky nasleg, cattle will be placed at the Radio Center, horses will be placed on a hill behind the Radio Center. In the village of Kapitonovka, the animals will be placed near the Kangalassy microdistrict, and in the Khatassky nasleg — at the At Dala temporary detention center.

The administration recalled that the untimely removal of livestock with a sharp rise in water can make the evacuation of animals impossible.

According to weather forecasters, the opening of the Leni River in the Pokrovsk — Yakutsk — Grafsky Bereg — Sangara section is expected from May 15 to 19. This is 1-2 days earlier than the average long-term deadline.
