Graduation for bats will be held on the beach in Lipetsk
A graduation ceremony for bats will be held in Lipetsk on Friday, May 15. The staff of the city zoo will release bats rescued from the entrances and apartments of the townspeople.
Last fall and winter, more than one mouse was brought to the facility, which was injured or on the verge of death. The animals were cured and comfortable conditions were created for their hibernation.
The event will start at 20:00 at the Central Beach bus stop. First, the zoo staff will talk about their work on the rehabilitation of the animals, and at 20:25 they will be released into the wild.
According to GOROD48, the Lipetsk Zoo is working within the framework of the EARAZA project "Protection and rehabilitation of bats". It is aimed at studying and preserving bats in Russia.
Earlier, Izvestia wrote that in 2025, customs officers stopped a series of daring attempts to illegally import and export exotic animals. Among them are red Book parrots from Central Asia and exotic beetles from Peru.
