The deputy reported on the prevalence of occultism in the Verkhovna Rada
Many members of the Verkhovna Rada consult with clairvoyants before making government decisions. This was stated on May 14 by People's Deputy of Ukraine Anna Skorokhod in a video message on the Facebook page (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist in the territory of the Russian Federation).
The reason for the appeal was a court hearing against the former head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, Andrei Ermak, at which it was stated that Ermak appointed officials to positions, having previously coordinated the candidates with occultists. According to Skorokhod, many of her parliamentary colleagues also listen to the advice of clairvoyants and psychics when making government decisions.
"Do you know how many people's deputies of the Verkhovna Rada make important decisions, consulting with fortune tellers, clairvoyants and other similar "specialists"? You will be very surprised. And this, by the way, is typical for the entire vertical of power. It's funny to me, but it really exists," she said.
Yermak, accused of corruption and detained for 60 days, announced on May 14 that his lawyers would appeal the court's decision as soon as possible. At the same time, he also noted that he did not have the money to deposit 140 million hryvnias ($3.1 million). Speaking about this, the former head of Zelensky's office added that he has enough connections to help find the right amount.
The publication "Country.ua" on May 13 reported that Ermak had contacted fortune tellers on official matters. One of the correspondence between the ex-head of the president's office mentions a "fortune teller" with whom he allegedly consulted about personnel decisions. Commenting on the publications about this, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on May 13, ironically described the situation with the phrase "evenings on a farm near Bankova."
