In Pskov, the cutting of grass grown after the rain began
Public utilities have started mowing grass in different areas of Pskov. It began to grow actively after the rains, said the mayor Boris Yelkin in the messenger "Max" on Thursday, May 14.
According to the mayor, at the same time, the cleaning of random garbage, sweeping of roads and sidewalks continues. He stressed that ensuring cleanliness and order on the streets of the regional capital is a constant task of contractors.
"Pskov is beautiful when it is clean. Let's not forget this: trash in the trash can, smiles for passers–by!", – reminded Yelkin, quoted by the Pskov news feed.
Special attention is being paid to updating the markings, the mayor emphasized. So, experts are actively tidying up the markings on the side stone at public transport stops. In the near future, similar work will begin on the islands of safety.
"In addition, the patching of the road surface does not slow down — workers promptly repair damage to ensure comfortable and safe movement," said the head of Pskov, adding that in parallel, the restoration of lost and damaged road signs is underway.
Earlier in May, emergency trees near house No. 10 on Narodnaya Street were demolished in Pskov. The decision to cut down the green spaces was made based on the results of a survey by a specialized commission.
