Experts named the most popular stablecoins among Russians

73.6% of market participants have been accumulating in cryptocurrency for more than three years and have gone through several market cycles. This was reported by the experts of the A7A5 company based on the results of a study of the Russian cryptocurrency market.

Stablecoin A7A5 took 41% of the non-dollar stablecoin market in 2026. Bitcoin was named the most profitable asset by 25.6% of the study participants. Other altcoins are in second place (21.1%), and USDT stablecoin is in third place (16.4%). At the same time, more than half of the owners of cryptocurrencies (57.4%) are associated with digital assets in business, and 96.3% of investors use them in practice, not just for storage.

The most popular scenarios for using cryptocurrencies are investments (25.5%) and savings (19.9%). 26.5% of respondents are engaged in trading. For cross—border payments, it is used by 17.3%, a significant indicator against the background of restrictions in the traditional banking system. Another 5.5% of respondents use cryptocurrency to maintain financial anonymity. Cryptocurrency occupies a significant share in portfolios: 56.7% hold more than 30% of their assets in it, and 22.7% hold between 75 and 100%.

55.9% of participants store assets independently — in non-custodial wallets (Trust Wallet, hardware wallets, MetaMask). This means that the user controls access to their funds without intermediaries. 38.6% hold assets on centralized exchanges.

Bybit dominates among traders (26.5% of the sample) — 36.9%. Of these, 87.4% use margin or futures trading, which are instruments with significantly increased risk, where they can lose more of their invested money. 54.5% trade daily.

The average age of cryptocurrency market participants is 36.3 years. The majority are men (89.6%) with higher education (73.4%) and average or above average income (76.3%). Almost half of the audience (43.6%) assesses their knowledge as high or expert.
