A new pedestrian crossing will be built under the tracks of the Moscow Central Ring (MCC) near the Moscow city railway station Likhobory. It will connect the Timiryazevsky and Zapadnoye Degunino districts, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said in his channel in the Maks messenger.

"It will be more convenient for residents of houses on Bolshaya Akademicheskaya Street and Dmitrovskoye Highway to get to Likhobory MGV," Sobyanin stressed. According to the mayor, the creation of a new crossing will be part of the work on the creation of transport infrastructure near the Likhobory railway station.

The first stage of the project is currently completed, the mayor noted. He said that a turntable with a terminal station for buses and electric buses was built on the territory adjacent to the city station, and three fast charging stations for electric buses were installed. Now Likhobory railway station unites not only the MCC and MCD-3, but also ground transport, the head of the capital noted.

The M54 main electric bus route was also extended as part of the project, Moskva24 reports. Thanks to this, the station is now connected to the districts of Zapadnoye and Vostochnoye Degunino, Beskudnikovsky, Otradnoye, Yuzhnoye Medvedkovo, Babushkinsky and Losinoostrovsky. It is also convenient to get to it from the metro stations Verkhniye Likhobory, Otradnoye, Babushkinskaya and Losinoostrovskaya railway station of the Yaroslavl direction.

An intercept parking and taxi stand were set up next to the station, and a modern bus shelter was installed. In addition, as noted by Vechernyaya Moskva, 660 m of new access roads and sidewalks were built.

The mayor recalled that in 2020, the Oktyabrskaya Railway station and the Likhobory MCC were combined, creating a single contour based on the "dry feet" principle. The NATI platform was named Likhobory.

Earlier, Sobyanin announced the modernization of the road infrastructure at the Verkhniye Likhobory metro station. A terminal building for urban land transport will be erected next to the Grachevskaya MCD-3 station and new routes will be organized, the head of the capital said.
