The lawyer pointed out the duty of educators in Makhachkala to provide assistance to the girl.

Kindergarten teachers in Makhachkala, where the girl lost a toe, were obliged to provide her with first aid, as well as to call an ambulance. Evgeny Pavlov, a lawyer and federal judicial expert on occupational safety and medical law, told Izvestia on May 14.

"According to the law on education, educators and teachers are required to provide first aid to children, and they take the appropriate course every year. <...> If a child has injured a finger, the teacher should immediately inform the medical office, the higher management, provide first aid and call an ambulance," Pavlov said.

The lawyer stressed that kindergarten staff in such situations should not shift responsibility to parents, and moreover they do not have the right to hide the injury of the ward.

"You can call the parents when the child has fever, vomiting. But when such a serious injury occurs, they should simply state the fact that they called an ambulance, applied a bandage, and went to the emergency room. <...> This is necessary to reduce the risks that have already arisen," the expert noted.

In a conversation with Izvestia, the victim's father confirmed that the girl's toe was torn off, it was found in her tights. The doctors couldn't save the finger.

The incident in the Dagestan kindergarten became known on May 13. The parents discovered the damage after the child returned home on May 8 and immediately took the girl to the hospital. She was treated, but her finger could not be saved.

On May 14, law enforcement agencies in Dagestan reported that after the girl pinched her finger on the door, the teachers cut it off and put it in her tights. No ambulance was called for the child. The parents, having discovered the injury, took their daughter to the hospital. Later, the head of the city's education department, Shagane Baymurzayeva, announced that the head and three kindergarten staff had been dismissed in Makhachkala.

On May 14, the head of the traumatology department, Huseyn Rustamov, told Izvestia that the girl had already been discharged from the hospital. He explained that the child was admitted to a medical institution with severe stress and reacted violently to strangers. In the dressing room, it turned out that the patient's nail phalanx of the little finger was completely missing.
