The International Festival "RT.Doc: The Time of Our Heroes" has been held since 2023. It unites documentarians, military officers, artists, poets, musicians, and opinion leaders on its platforms. The program of the festival is connected by a common idea: "This is the time of heroes. This is our time." At the center of each film is a poignant story, with a human fate behind every frame. This is a movie about the defenders of Donbass, about the heroes at the front and in the rear, about volunteers, doctors, military officers, artists and musicians. The purpose of the festival is to tell the truth about the special military operation to the whole world.

"I am proud that I came to this screening. The Western media is hiding the truth. And we are for the truth. I understand that there will be consequences. But I can't do it any other way. I have a conscience," said Stratos Siourdakis, chairman of the Cultural and Educational Society of the Greeks of St. Petersburg.

Earlier screenings of the RT Military Film Festival.The dock took place in Italy, Spain, France and the Netherlands. Everywhere — under pressure, at risk, but with the unwavering support of the audience. Italian newspapers — La Repubblica, Il Resto del Carlino, Formiche, Linkiesta, BolognaToday — wrote with dismay that the event was "gaining national political popularity." And European officials were outraged online.

"How is it possible that RT can hold its 'festival' in Italy with impunity?" said Pina Picerno, Vice President of the European Parliament.

She filed complaints with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Giorgio Meloni, as well as the Ministers of the Interior and Foreign Affairs of Italy. The screenings took place anyway, and now they take place in this NATO country on a weekly basis.

"We will not stop. We will move forward. We will continue to show RT documentaries," said Luca Rossi, president of the Russia—Emilia—Romagna Association.

In Paris, the films were shown in a cinema and in a secret apartment — the audience had to gather secretly. The participants called the screenings "a breath of fresh air." In Amsterdam, the screenings were organized by the Europeans themselves. The main event of the evening was the film "I am Alive" — the testimonies of the civilians of Mariupol who survived the Ukrainian occupation.

After the festivals, viewers from different countries began to organize screenings themselves and transfer films to their friends.

"No matter how governments separate people, people are drawn to each other. People see the soul, they see the heart, they want to change the situation and carry our films on. This is the film diploma," summed up the general producer of the festival, the head of the RT channel.Doc Ekaterina Yakovleva.
