Xi Jinping declared compatibility of China's revival and the greatness of the United States

The ideas of the revival of the Chinese nation and the return of the greatness of the United States do not contradict each other. This was announced on May 14 by Chinese President Xi Jinping during a state banquet in honor of the visit of US President Donald Trump.

"Achieving the great rebirth of the Chinese nation and restoring America to its former greatness can go hand in hand. We can help each other succeed and improve the well—being of the whole world," said the Chinese president.

The Chinese President noted that more than 1.4 billion Chinese citizens are involved in the modernization of the country and the implementation of the new five-year development plan, while the American people continue the path of innovation, entrepreneurship and patriotism. Xi Jinping also recalled the beginning of "ping-pong diplomacy" and Henry Kissinger's visit to China 55 years ago, stressing that it was then that a new chapter was opened in relations between the two countries.

According to him, in modern conditions, Beijing and Washington continue to maintain stable relations through regular contacts and negotiations between the leaders. Trump, in turn, called the talks with Xi Jinping positive and productive, and the relations between the United States and China one of the most significant in world history.
