In Makhachkala, the head and three employees of a kindergarten in which a girl lost a toe were dismissed. This was announced on May 14 by the head of the city's education department, Shagane Baymurzayeva, in an interview with RIA Novosti.

"The head and three employees of the kindergarten no longer work in the city's education system after the incident," she said.

The day before, the court sent two teachers and the nanny of kindergarten No. 22 to the pre-trial detention center. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements").

The Investigative Committee of Russia reported an incident at a kindergarten on May 13. The parents discovered the damage after the child returned home on May 8 and immediately took the girl to the hospital. She was treated, but her finger could not be saved.

On May 14, law enforcement agencies in Dagestan reported that after the girl pinched her finger on the door, the educators cut it off and put it in her tights. No ambulance was called for the child. The parents, having discovered the injury, took their daughter to the hospital.
