Chinese President Xi Jinping actually announced the beginning of the transformation of the world order and the weakening of the global dominance of the United States. This opinion was expressed by Evgeny Zlenko, project manager of the Polylog Group, in a conversation with Izvestia on May 14, commenting on the negotiations between Washington and Beijing.

In his opinion, China has actually made it clear that US dominance is coming to an end not because of political statements, but as a result of Washington's internal overstrain in the economic, military and political spheres.

"China has actually indicated that the era of unconditional American hegemony is coming to an end not because of someone's desire, but because of the objective overstrain of the United States itself in the economic, military and political spheres," Zlenko said.

The expert stressed that the United States has been building a global system based on financial and logistics control for decades, but China has learned to use this system more effectively than the United States itself.

According to Zlenko, an important factor was the conflict over Iran, in which Washington, according to the expert, faced problems in the struggle for control over the Strait of Hormuz, one of the key routes of world trade and energy.

"That's why (US President Donald Trump. Trump came to Beijing no longer from a position of unconditional strength, but in a position where a new reality needs to be recognized," he said.

The political scientist believes that the negotiations between the United States and China have become the beginning of a complex discussion of the future distribution of spheres of influence and a new architecture of international relations.

Trump arrived in China on a state visit on May 13. The start of negotiations between the leaders became known on May 14. The meeting was held at the People's Assembly House on Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Later, China Central Television reported that the negotiations had ended.

The American leader himself called the negotiations with China excellent. At the same time, the head of the White House preferred not to comment on whether the situation around Taiwan was touched upon during the dialogue.
