Musk called the meetings in Beijing productive
The meetings of US representatives with colleagues from the People's Republic of China (PRC), which are taking place in Beijing, are going well and are productive. This was announced on May 14 by American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk.
"[The meetings went] great. <...> A lot of good things," CNN quoted him as saying to reporters.
Musk responded accordingly to a request to assess the progress of the negotiations and describe the results that Washington managed to achieve.
On the same day, China Central Television (CCTV) announced the completion of talks in Beijing between Chinese President Xi Jinping and White House Chief of Staff Donald Trump. The conversation, as specified, lasted over two hours. During the conversation, the leader of the host party noted the importance of the mutual benefits of the US-China trade partnership.
The American leader arrived in China on a state visit a day earlier. This trip was his first in the last nine years.
