It takes about 20 days for healthy people to recover from hantavirus, while in the presence of chronic diseases such as diabetes or hypertension, this process will take about a month. This was announced on May 14 by Sergio De Olivera, a doctor working on the border of Uruguay and Brazil.
"The recovery of patients without complications takes about 20 days. For people with problems such as diabetes or hypertension, treatment can take up to 30 days," he told RIA Novosti.
