Andrey Cherkasov, CEO of the Jam music publishing house, is charged with two counts of fraud. The data follows from the materials that appeared at the disposal of Izvestia on May 13.

Cherkasov is charged under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud committed by an organized group on an especially large scale") and Part 3 of Article ("Fraud committed by a person using his official position, as well as on a large scale").

The director is currently in jail. He was arrested last November.

On Wednesday, a source from Izvestia reported that singer Linda had been interrogated in Cherkasov's case. She is in witness status. The source claims that with the help of forged documents, the director of Profit LLC, Daria Shamova and Linda, allegedly appropriated the rights to the musical works of producer Maxim Fadeev.

Profit LLC, as specified by the Izvestia source, is Andrey Cherkasov's second company, located on the site of the former office of the Jam publishing house. The conflict between Linda and Fadeev over copyright has been going on for several years. Earlier, the singer stated about psychological pressure and attempts to limit the performance of her songs.

At the same time, according to Izvestia, the singer's director Mikhail Kuvshinov remains detained.

Searches took place on May 12 at the office of Profit LLC, owned by Cherkasov, they are related to the detention of singer Linda. Cherkasov himself is currently in jail on charges of major fraud.

The interrogation of singer Linda in the framework of the Cherkasov criminal case ended on May 13. Together with Linda, according to Izvestia, her director Mikhail Kuvshinov and Daria Shamova, director of Profit LLC, were interrogated.
