A snake attacked a four-year-old girl in the Tyumen region.
A four-year-old girl was attacked by a snake in the Tyumen region. The reptile clung to the child's leg, the press service of the regional government reported on Wednesday, May 13.
The incident occurred in the village of Sartovo, Nizhnetavdinsky district, writes the news agency " <url>". The baby's parents promptly took her to the emergency department of the Regional Hospital No. 15 in the village of Nizhnyaya Tavda.
Doctors injected the victim with an anti-snake serum. The little patient's condition was stabilized. Then the girl was transferred to OKB No. 1 for further observation.
Residents of the region were reminded that snakes can hide anywhere: in parks, playgrounds and other places. Minors tolerate their bites much worse than adults because of their low weight.
In case of a snake bite, you need to call the doctors, put the child down and immobilize the affected limb, provide plenty of warm drink. It is not necessary to cauterize or cut the bitten place, apply tourniquets, rub, give alcohol and try to suck out the poison yourself. Such actions only harm.
Earlier, toxicologist and scientific journalist Alexey Vodovozov told how to act when encountering a viper. He also explained why the usual first aid measures, in particular, cutting off blood flow with a tourniquet, are wrong.
