Sobyanin handed the keys to the Muscovites to the best medical workers

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin awarded the best representatives of the average medical staff, the finalists of the Moscow Masters competition, according to the channel of the head of the capital in Maks. The awarding ceremony is timed to coincide with the International Day of the Nurse, which was celebrated the day before, on May 12.

This year, a record number of people took part in the competition, Sobyanin noted, more than 1,000 professionals. The jury evaluated theoretical knowledge and practical skills, as well as stress tolerance and speed of decision-making in non-standard situations. The mayor handed over the keys to the Moskvich cars to the winners and prize-winners.

Nine representatives of the secondary medical staff received awards, including Anna Pavlova, senior nurse at the Recreation Center No. 1, and Viktor Savvateev, senior nurse at the D.D. Pletnev State Clinical Hospital. Yulia Smirnova, an X-ray technician at the Bauman State Clinical Hospital No. 29, and Tatiana Savelova, Timur Archakov and Kirill Vorontsov, paramedics at the A.S. Puchkov Ambulance and Emergency Medical Services Station, were also noted.

In addition to them, three midwives received the award.: Yana Fokina from GKB No. 31 named after Academician G.M. Savelyeva, Zarina Silyutina, who works at the Vorokhobov State Clinical Hospital No. 67, and Natalia Ganich, a midwife at the MMCC Kommunarka. "They have proved that they are the best of the best!", stressed Sobyanin.

The Moscow nursing community has about 50,000 nurses and nurses, TASS notes. There are also almost 8.5 thousand paramedics and over 2 thousand midwives working in the capital's healthcare system.

The Moscow Masters competition has been held in the capital since 1998. From the very beginning, the profession of a nurse was included in it, the Moscow City News agency notes. In 2006, the list of competitive specialties was supplemented by an ambulance paramedic. In 2026, midwives took part in the main professional competitions of the capital for the first time.
