The government of St. Petersburg supports the construction of new skyscrapers in Lakhta, which forms the basis for the development of the city as a megalopolis of the 21st century. This was announced on May 13 by the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov.

"The construction of these two towers, I will not dissemble, the city government supports. First of all, this corresponds to the logic of the development of our city as a megalopolis of the 21st century. It should also be noted that this historical suburb of St. Petersburg is turning into a future business center with workplaces, with its own public areas," he said, delivering a report to the Legislative Assembly of the city.
