Russians named the most desirable car brands for the return
Among the global car brands that have left the Russian market, the citizens of the Russian Federation most actively want Hyundai and Kia, as well as Toyota, to return. Such results were shown by a survey among the professional audience of the analytical agency Autostat, its director Sergey Tselikov told about it in his Telegram channel on May 13.
The brands with the highest current sales volume were selected for voting. 1,340 people took part in the survey, which took place on May 3-12, and they could choose several brands.
Hyundai/Kia and Toyota scored 38% of the votes each. Volkswagen was also among the top three (34%). BMW is in fourth place (31%), followed by Skoda (27%), Audi (23%), Mercedes-Benz (22%) and Mazda (19%).
A similar survey conducted a year ago showed similar results, but the shares of brands have changed somewhat. Hyundai and Kia then became the leaders with 31%, Toyota was also in second place (29%), Volkswagen was in third (27%), followed by BMW and Skoda with the same number of votes (23% each).
Earlier, on May 12, it was reported that in the first four months of this year, slightly more than 5.4 thousand passenger cars with a mileage of over 160 hp were imported to Russia. This is eight times less than in January – April last year, when the volume of imports of such machines amounted to 44.1 thousand units.
