A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The North group of troops improved the tactical situation and defeated Ukrainian armed formations in the areas of the settlements of Andreevka, Bachevsk and Zapselye, Sumy region, Ryasnoye, Volokhovka, Bely Kolodez and Vilcha, Kharkiv region. As a result of the actions of Russian servicemen, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost over 210 militants and 16 vehicles.

In addition, the Southern Group of Troops defeated the formations of three mechanized, mountain assault, motorized infantry, airmobile brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade in the areas of the DPR. The Ukrainian army has lost up to 70 militants, seven vehicles and two field artillery pieces in this area.

"The units of the Center group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. The manpower and equipment of three mechanized, motorized infantry, jaeger brigades, an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and two National Guard brigades were defeated in the areas of settlements of the Donetsk People's Republic and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to 310 soldiers," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, has defeated Ukrainian energy and transport infrastructure facilities used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, drone assembly, storage and launch sites, ammunition depots, temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 147 districts.

In turn, the air defense systems shot down three guided aerial bombs, two HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, a long-range guided missile "Neptune" and 572 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 145,568 UAVs, 661 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29,279 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,718 multiple rocket launchers, 34,897 field artillery and mortars, 61,482 pieces of special vehicles.
