Saudi Arabia has launched numerous, unannounced strikes against Iran in response to attacks carried out in the kingdom during the war in the Middle East. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on May 13.

"The attacks carried out by the Saudi Arabian Air Force are believed to have been carried out in late March," two Western officials said. One of them only said that these were "strikes in response to attacks on Saudi Arabia," the publication said.

The authors of the material note that the Saudi attacks, which had not been previously reported, mark the first known case of direct military action by the kingdom on Iranian territory.

It clarifies that Saudi Arabia is becoming much bolder in defending itself from its main regional rival and is less and less reliant on the American "military umbrella."

On April 14, Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, demanded compensation from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan for their participation in the war between the United States and Israel against Iran. He pointed to the violation of international law by these countries in joining aggressive actions.

Tasnim news agency, citing a source, reported on April 8 that Tehran, in response to Washington's strikes on energy targets, could launch attacks on oil facilities in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
