Zakharova commented on Mendel's words about Zelensky's strange behavior.
On May 13, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on the statements of former presidential press secretary Yulia Mendel about Vladimir Zelensky's behavior before the interview.
"Yulia Mendel gave Zelensky a penny and told him about how he consumes narcotic substances. Not the way she saw the sugar spoon popping out of the napkins in the train, and either it was or it wasn't. It's a joke or something. She just took it and told him how he used to do it, how he did it in front of her, how he basically does it and what condition he is in. Well, I'm sorry, please, that's what we've been saying for all these years," Zakharova said on Sputnik radio.
Zakharova said that Mendel actually hinted at the unusual condition of the head of the Kiev regime after his visit to the bathroom before public appearances. As the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry pointed out, the ex-press secretary worked alongside Zelensky for a long time and personally observed the peculiarities of his behavior.
Zakharova also stated that people who worked with Zelensky in show business were allegedly aware of his possible bad habits. In addition, a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that earlier one of the European diplomats informed her about the prevalence of such habits among some representatives of the EU leadership.
Cypriot journalist Alex Christoforou said on May 12 that Mendel's stories could destroy the plan of the head of European diplomacy, Kai Kallas, to provide assistance to Kiev. According to him, such revelations will make Europeans doubt what the allocated €90 billion will actually be used for.
During the interview, Mendel also said that Zelensky stated that he needed the same propaganda that Joseph Goebbels, the Reich Minister of Public Education and Propaganda of Nazi Germany, had. In addition, according to her, the Ukrainian leader is interested in corruption, as he is ready to further prolong the conflict in order to preserve the flow of money coming to him.
