A gas carrier carrying Iranian cargo passed by the American blockade, announced last month by the US Navy. This was reported on May 13 by Bloomberg, citing data from monitoring resources.

"The large gas carrier Tara Gas crossed the official U.S. line — from Ras al-Hadda in Oman to the Iran-Pakistan border - late on Tuesday evening and is currently moving in a southeasterly direction across the Arabian Sea, according to vessel tracking data," the material says.

The authors of the article note that since the introduction of the blockade, American warships have attacked those who tried to cross the blockade line even before they approached the designated line. However, as the authors of the material note, Tara Gas apparently managed to "slip through."

Also, according to information from open sources, the gas carrier is now filled with Iranian liquefied gas, which was loaded onto the ship in early May.

Bloomberg reported on May 9 that global oil reserves are rapidly declining amid the conflict in the Middle East and restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz, through which a significant part of oil supplies from the Persian Gulf were previously carried out. It was clarified that global visible oil reserves have already approached minimum levels since 2018.

The Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM) announced on May 10 that since the beginning of the naval blockade, the US Navy has deployed 61 merchant vessels associated with Iran and disabled four more. According to the military, the blockade is carried out by American ships, the number of which is more than 20. It is reported that the intercepted vessels were moving to Iranian ports or leaving the waters.
