The European Union (EU) needs to create its own unified army. This was announced on May 11 by Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares.
"We can't wake up every morning wondering what the United States will do next. <...> We need an army, a common defense potential," Politico newspaper quoted him as saying.
