The number of pigs has increased in the Lipetsk region

The turnover of agricultural production amounted to 25.9 billion rubles in the Lipetsk region in the first quarter of 2026. The indicator increased by 2.8% compared to the same period last year.

According to GOROD48, the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter increased by 7.8%. The number of cattle decreased and amounted to 111.3 thousand heads. At the same time, the number of pigs increased to 767.4 thousand.

Milk production increased by 5% and amounted to 82.8 thousand tons. Milk yields per cow amounted to 2504 kg. In addition, 210.4 million eggs were produced. The egg production rate of laying hens was 73 units.
