Since the beginning of 2026, 175 road accidents have been registered in the Murmansk Region, in which people were killed or injured. Every third accident is associated with a head-on collision.

According to the Bi-port news agency, 254 people were injured in accidents, 18 people died. As a result of driving into oncoming traffic, 14 people were killed and 36 people were injured.

The Oncoming Lane preventive event is taking place in the region until May 17. The inspectors' work is aimed at preventing overtaking maneuvers in the wrong places.

Since the beginning of 2026, the number of road accidents in Moscow has decreased by 10.3%. A total of 2116 accidents were registered.
