The case was opened on the death of a man while working in a sewer in Uzlovaya.

A criminal case has been opened in Uzlovaya (Tula region) over the death of a man who was carrying out sewage treatment. This is reported by the regional SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The tragedy occurred on May 6 in the village of Brusyansky, Uzlovsky district. During the warranty work on sewage treatment, one of the workers was poisoned by the released gas.

The man died on the spot, TSN24 writes. According to the Investigative Committee, he did not have personal protective equipment and special devices measuring gas concentrations.

A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of safety rules during construction or other work that negligently caused the death of a person." All the circumstances of the man's death are being established.

At the end of November, a worker at an enterprise in the Tula region got into a crushing machine while processing wooden products. The man died on the spot.
