In Ulan-Ude, a man robbed a sports store of 64 thousand rubles.
A man suspected of a series of thefts from a sports store was caught in Ulan-Ude. The damage to the outlet amounted to 64,388 rubles, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Buryatia reported on Tuesday, May 12.
The duty station received four statements from the director of a sports store located in a shopping center in the Sovetsky district. He said that after viewing the surveillance cameras and auditing, he discovered the loss of two jackets, four pairs of pants, a shirt, a jumper, two T-shirts, sneakers and sandals.
During the operational search activities, the criminal investigation department identified and detained a 42-year-old resident of the Ivolginsky district. The attacker said that he paid for a cheap item, and put the more expensive one under his clothes or carried it through a metal detector.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Theft"), writes IA UlanMedia. The person involved is currently on his own recognizance. He also reimbursed the amount of damage and returned some of the stolen clothes. The investigation continues.
