A criminal case has been opened in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra over the deaths of three men in a UAZ Bukhanka that caught fire. This is reported by the district SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
The car was discovered on May 8 while extinguishing a forest fire. It was located on the riverbank 5 km from the village of Yagodny in the Kondinsky district. Rescuers recovered the bodies of three men from the burnt—out UAZ, residents of the city of Urai and the Kondinsky district.
It was established that the men came to the riverbank to fish, and the car was used as a place to spend the night. According to preliminary data, the fire in the car started due to the careless use of a gas burner, which the fishermen were trying to heat the interior, the news agency " <url>" clarifies.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Causing death by negligence to three persons." A number of examinations have been appointed, and all the circumstances of the deaths are being established.
On the night of May 2, a fatal fire occurred in a private house in the village of Vysoky in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. As a result, seven people were killed, including four children.
