The National Bank of Kazakhstan has announced the release of a silver collector's coin dedicated to the Golden Horde. This was announced on May 12 on the website of the National Bank of the Republic.

"The National Bank of Kazakhstan issues a collector's coin "ALTYN ORDA" ("Golden Horde". — Ed.) from the series "Outstanding events and people". <...> The coin is required to be accepted at face value throughout the Republic of Kazakhstan for all types of payments," the message says.

The ministry explained that the historical heritage of the Golden Horde, embodying the continuity of a thousand-year-old civilization, occupies an important place in shaping the statehood and cultural identity of the peoples of Eurasia, including the territory of modern Kazakhstan.

The appeal to this era in the framework of the issue of a collector's coin is aimed at preserving historical memory, popularizing cultural heritage and reflecting significant stages in the formation of statehood.

On March 20, NBC News reported that the US Treasury plans to issue a golden jubilee coin with the image of the current president of the country, Donald Trump, on the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. The publication noted that in order to approve the coin, it must be approved by several bodies, including the Citizens' Advisory Committee on Coinage (CCAC).
