The average price of domestic used cars decreased amid the rise in prices of foreign cars

In April, the average cost of a used car no older than 15 years of the domestic brand was 729 thousand rubles, which is 0.6% lower than in March. For Chinese—made cars, this figure remained at 2.26 million rubles, while for other foreign cars it was 2.42 million rubles (+1.2%). Among cars with mileage no older than 15 years, three Lada models showed the largest decrease in average cost in April compared to March: 2107 (-5%; 252 thousand rubles), 2115 (-4%; 221 thousand rubles) and 2114 (-4%; 242 thousand rubles), as well as the Belarusian crossover Belgee X50 (-3%; 1.84 million rubles).

In April, a decrease in the average cost of a used car was noted in three regions of Russia: the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (-2.7%; 961 thousand rubles), the Kirov Region (-1.3%; 1.01 million rubles) and the Orenburg Region (-1%; 1.1 million rubles). The leaders in the increase were Ulyanovsk (+5.5%; 1.28 million rubles), Samara (+4.2%; 1.27 million rubles) and Lipetsk (+3.6%; 1.08 million rubles) regions, as well as Perm Krai (+3.5%; 1.19 million rubles) and Rostov Region (+3.2%; 1.68 million rubles). In St. Petersburg and Moscow, the growth in March was 1.3% and 0.5%, to 2.2 million and 2.9 million rubles, respectively.

According to analysts, in April, for the first time since November last year, an increase in dealer supply was recorded in the secondary car market, which reached 8%, despite the fact that the total number of active ads increased by only 1% compared to March.

Avito Auto experts noted on May 11 that in January –April, demand for new crossovers and SUVs in Russia increased by 49% compared to the same period last year, and the average price of a new car in this segment was 3.9 million rubles.
