An attack by nine drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was repelled in the Orenburg region

Air defense systems repelled an attack by nine drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Orenburg region. This was announced on May 12 by the governor of the region Evgeny Solntsev.

"Unfortunately, during the destruction of an enemy target, fragments of downed drones in Orenburg, in addition to an apartment building, damaged a nearby school and kindergarten," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

Solntsev stressed that no one was injured in the attack. Builders are carrying out restoration work in damaged buildings.

The head of the region added that the training will take place remotely during the renovation.

The Izvestia correspondent visited the front line, saw the work of drone shooters and found out how many relatives serve in the detachment.

Solntsev reported on the same day that an apartment building in Orenburg had been damaged during a UAV attack. The governor clarified that all operational services had gone to the scene.

The governor also said that a high-alert regime had been introduced in Orenburg, Orsk and Yasny after a drone attack on the territory of the region. According to him, appropriate measures have been taken to ensure the safety of residents and coordinate the actions of emergency services.
