Logic of Milk invests more than 2 billion rubles in sustainable development
Logika Moloka, a leading producer of fresh dairy products, baby food and plant-based beverages in Russia, has approved the company's sustainable development strategy until 2030. The total amount of investments for the implementation of the ESG strategy will amount to more than 2 billion rubles. This was announced by the company's press service.
The company is constantly working to find and implement solutions that will help improve production efficiency, make optimal use of natural resources and expand social support programs for employees and residents of the regions where it operates, said Yakub Zakriev, CEO of Logika Moloka. "This allows us not only to maintain our leadership positions in the domestic dairy industry, but also to become a benchmark in the field of sustainable development for Russian business as a whole," he stressed.
The sustainable development strategy proves the company's commitment to the ESG agenda as a factor of long-term sustainability and leadership, said Ruslan Alisultanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors. "I would like to emphasize that the strategy and our ambitious development plans are closely aligned with Russia's national goals until 2030, which will make a significant contribution to the development of the national agro—industrial complex and make the Russian dairy industry one of the most modern and sustainable in the world," he said.
The strategy includes five key areas of work aimed at protecting the environment, taking care of consumer health, supporting employees, charitable and social initiatives, and managing the company's ESG agenda. In particular, by 2030, the company intends to reduce waste generation by 25% per unit of production and launch whey processing projects. In addition, the company expects to increase the share of recyclable packaging to 80% and increase the efficiency of water and electricity use.
