Peskov spoke about personnel changes amid the global crisis

In the current conditions of instability of the global economy, personnel changes should not be expected. This was announced on May 12 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

According to him, the global economy is going through a difficult period, which is accompanied by high volatility and declining economic indicators in many countries.

"Every time you consider when there is volatility in the global global economy, which, as you know, is falling now, the economy is falling all over the world, and every time you talk about some personnel decisions. This <...> is probably hardly worth doing," Peskov said.

On the same day, Dmitry Peskov announced that the government had taken measures to support the economy. He noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin is closely involved in economic issues and holds regular meetings. The next such meeting will be held this week.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on May 12 that in 2026, the gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to show positive dynamics at 0.4%, followed by a recovery period: growth will accelerate from 1.4% in 2027 to 2.4% in 2029. He noted that inflation in 2026 will approach 5.2%, and from 2027 it will be near the target level of 4%.
