KAMAZ has reduced its summer corporate vacation this year. Previously, the vacation was supposed to last three weeks, but now it will be two weeks: employees of the Naberezhnye Chelny auto giant will rest from July 13 to 26. This was reported in the company's press service, TASS reported on May 12.

The reason for the adjustment of corporate vacation dates was an increase in orders related to the expansion of sales of new model K5 cars, the demand for which is steadily growing, explained at KAMAZ.

The company noted that initially the vacation was approved for a duration of 21 calendar days in the period from July 6 to July 26.

In May, KAMAZ will maintain a five-day working week and work for a full month as usual due to the refinement of the production program. Taking into account the accumulated volume of orders, the head of the company, Sergey Kogogin, signed an order according to which KAMAZ workers will work for 18 days in May, taking into account holidays and weekends — May 1, May 9 and May 27. At the same time, at the end of March, it became known that KAMAZ was studying the transition to a one-day work week starting on June 1, and the company's production plan for this year could be reduced.

At a meeting with Sergey Kogogin, the head of the company, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian automotive industry is going through difficult times, but KAMAZ is successfully coping with them. The President noted that despite the crisis in the automotive industry, KAMAZ had increased its contributions to all levels of the federal budget. In addition, the manufacturer's staff was almost completely retained. Kogogin explained that 2022 was a difficult year for the company, but KAMAZ's policy of localizing production helped.
