Pakistan allowed Iran to secretly deploy part of its military aircraft at its airfields in order to get the planes out of possible US strikes. This was reported on May 12 by CBS News, citing American officials.

"Pakistan, positioning itself as a diplomatic mediator between Tehran and Washington, quietly allowed Iranian military aircraft to be stationed at its airfields, potentially protecting them from American airstrikes," the publication says.

According to the channel's interlocutors, a few days after the announcement by US President Donald Trump of a cease-fire with Iran in early April, Tehran transferred several aircraft to the Pakistani Nur Khan airbase. Allegedly, an Iranian RC-130 BBG reconnaissance aircraft was among the deployed equipment.

In addition, Iran has temporarily redirected part of its civil aviation to Kabul. Later, after the start of Pakistani airstrikes against the background of the aggravation of relations between Islamabad and the Taliban movement, the planes were transferred to the airport of Herat near the Iranian border.

On May 6, Trump said it was "too early" to talk about direct peace talks with representatives of the Islamic Republic. The Reuters news agency learned that the Iranian authorities called the text of the American side a "wish list" rather than a reality.

Later, on May 11, the speaker of the Iranian parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said on May 11 that the 14-point plan proposed by Tehran to resolve the conflict with the United States had no alternatives, and any other approaches, according to him, would not lead to success.
