- The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the relevance of Putin's initiative to meet the "nuclear five"
Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal for a meeting of the "nuclear five" does not lose its relevance and acquires special significance against the background of the current international crisis. This was announced on May 12 by Alexander Sternik, Director of the Third CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
He noted that the initiative of the Russian side to hold a meeting of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council "is still on the table," and may become even more in demand, given modern geopolitical challenges, RIA Novosti writes.
