The former editor-in-chief of the Echo of the Planet magazine died in Moscow.

Valentin Vasilets, the former editor-in-chief of the Echo of the Planet magazine, was found dead in southwest Moscow. This was reported to Izvestia on May 12 by a source.

He noted that a day earlier Vasilets had fallen out of a window on Krupskaya Street. According to his nurse, the man suffered from dementia and was grieving the death of his wife, who died at the end of April.

Vasilets worked in international journalism for a long time and was a veteran of ITAR-TASS.

He held the post of head of Echo of the Planet in the late 1990s.
