The Swedish Foreign Ministry pointed to the inevitability of negotiations with the Russian Federation

Negotiations with Russia will be inevitable in the future, Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Steenergaard said in an interview with Euronews on May 11.

She stressed that the search for compromises between Russia and Europe is necessary.

"I think we should focus on changing the approach," she suggested.

However, Stenergard then proposed to strengthen support for Ukraine and tighten anti-Russian sanctions.
