President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky promised during a private conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2019 that Ukraine would never join NATO. Julia Mendel, the former press secretary of the politician, told about this on May 11 in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson.
