The number of Labour MPs calling on British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to resign has increased to 50. This was reported on May 11 by Sky News channel.

"50 MPs from the Labor Party demand Starmer's resignation after his post—election speech," the TV channel writes.

The publication emphasizes that parliamentarians are demanding that Starmer leave by September. Some insist on an orderly and smooth transition so that the party can choose a new leadership and return to work.

On May 8, Starmer announced that he was not going to resign, despite the failures of the Labor Party in the regional elections. He called the preliminary results of the vote tough, but at the same time assured that his party plans to address the problems that concern voters.

The Daily Telegraph newspaper reported on May 5 that Starmer was forced to actually stop participating in the election campaign of the ruling Labor Party due to extremely low personal popularity and "toxicity."
