The United Kingdom has added Clinical Psychiatric Hospital No. 5 in the village of Stroganovka in the Simferopol region of Crimea to the list of sanctions against Russia. This became known on May 11 from a document published on the website of the British Ministry of Finance.

The document notes that the State Budget Institution of the Republic of Kazakhstan "KPB No. 5" is included in the sanctions list because of its participation in the destabilization of Ukraine, as well as for threatening and undermining the territorial integrity of the country and its sovereignty. In addition, Britain accuses the hospital of facilitating the "forced deportation" and indoctrination of children.

The statement clarifies that restrictions have been imposed on the psychiatric hospital, which include the freezing of assets, the disqualification of the director of the organization, and others.

On the same day, the United Kingdom expanded the anti-Russian sanctions list by imposing restrictions on 85 individuals and organizations, according to a notice from the British Ministry of Finance. Several employees of the Russian PR agency Agency for Social Design and a number of non-profit organizations (NGOs) have been sanctioned by London.

Prior to that, on May 5, it became known that London had expanded sanctions against Russia to include eight companies and 10 individuals in the new list. As a result, companies from Cameroon, China and Thailand were subject to restrictions. The sanctions were also extended to employees of the Alabuga Start program.
