US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping will discuss a number of important issues, including Iran and Taiwan, at the next meeting scheduled for May 13-15. This was reported on May 10 by the Reuters news agency, citing American officials.

"US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping intend to discuss issues on Iran, Taiwan, artificial intelligence and nuclear weapons," the publication says.

It is noted that the heads of state will also raise the issue of extending the deal on important minerals.

White House press Secretary Caroline Leavitt announced on March 25 that the American leader would visit China and meet with the Chinese president in Beijing on May 14 and 15. She added that the American leader's wife Melania and Trump will receive Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan in Washington on a return visit later this year.

On May 11, the Chinese Foreign Ministry confirmed the American leader's state visit to the country, which is scheduled for May 13-15. White House administration spokeswoman Anna Kelly said yesterday that during a visit to China to meet with the Chinese president on May 14-15, the US president intends to stabilize relations between the two countries.
