The Moroccan Armed Forces reported the discovery of the body of one of the missing US military

Military personnel from Morocco and the United States have discovered the body of one of the American soldiers who disappeared during the African Lion exercise. This was reported on May 10 by the Hespress portal with reference to the kingdom's army.

"Moroccan and American troops have discovered the body of one of the two American soldiers who went missing earlier this month during military exercises in southern Morocco," the publication says.

On May 3, the press service of AFRICOM reported that two American servicemen disappeared during military exercises in Morocco. The participants in the exercise have begun search and rescue operations involving land, air and sea assets.

CBS News reported on May 4 that two U.S. soldiers who disappeared during the African Lion exercises in Morocco could have drowned. According to a preliminary report, a group of American servicemen went ashore to watch the sunset. When one of the soldiers fell into the water, his colleagues tried to save him, but they were unable to do so. Then another soldier jumped into the water, but he was immediately covered by a wave.
