The Secretary of State of the Security Council of Belarus recommended that the EU buy tractors instead of tanks

European countries should purchase tractors and combines instead of competing in tank purchases. This was announced on May 10 by Secretary of State of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Volfovich.

"They are competing to see who will buy more tanks. It would be better if they bought combines and tractors in order to grow bread," he said on the Belarus 1 TV channel.

Volfovich stressed that European states spend huge amounts of money on the military budget and the purchase of new models of American equipment. According to him, this is happening against the background of the destruction of the region's economy and the deterioration of socio-economic conditions for the lives of citizens.
