"Iran's rulers have a problem trying to negotiate an end to the war: their new supreme leader has gone missing and remains silent about the negotiations," the article says.

It is clarified that Khamenei was allegedly seriously injured in an airstrike in February. Then his wife Zahra Haddad-Adel and his father, former supreme leader of Iran Ali Khamenei, died. Since then, according to the newspaper, Iranians have seen or heard from the new leader only messages supposedly written by him, as well as images that could have been modified or generated using artificial intelligence (AI).

The suspension of Washington's operation in the Strait of Hormuz defused the situation, but did not remove the key contradictions.

The Arab TV channel SNN reported on May 10 that Khamenei met with the commander of the central headquarters of the Khatam al-Anbiya troops, Ali Abdollahi, at which he gave the army new instructions on containing the country's opponents. He noted that the army's actions must be decisive in order to confront Iran's enemies.

The head of the protocol service of the office of the Supreme Leader, Mazaher Hosseini, said on May 9 that Khamenei, who suffered as a result of the US and Israeli strikes, was on the mend. He noted that Khamenei's injuries were caused by the fact that he was hit by an explosive wave and fell. According to him, there were also rumors in the press about a forehead wound, but in fact Khamenei only has a small cut behind his ear, which is almost invisible.
